The zoo is working on adding to our educational animal collection! We are finalizing plans to bring in a Tamandua, also known as a Lesser Anteater, that will be part of our on and off-grounds education programming. Tamanduas are found in Central and South America. They have no teeth, but a 12 inch long tongue and can consume 9,000 ants per day! Be on the lookout for the arrival of our new friend!
