What is a no contest (nolo contendere) plea in the Municipal Court?
Although a no contest plea entered is not an admission of guilt, the defendant does not contest the facts and will be found guilty without a trial and a sentence will be imposed. As with a plea of guilty, one may present mitigating matters to the court after being found guilty.
