Jack Kilby Square and the band shell can be reserved for special events on a first-come, first-served basis. The special events form can be found under Departments-Public Lands-Park Department: Events
Please fill our and return this form AT LEAST 14 business days in advance and be detailed and specific on location and needs. Turn it into City Hall and approval will be made by the Public Lands Director and/or city council if necessary.

At the present time, the large shelter at Vet’s Park may be reserved by calling (620) 793-4160. Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.Parks Department

City ordinance allows 3.2 alcohol content beer in the shelter houses and picnic areas of the parks. Glass containers are not allowed.Parks Department
The Great Bend Recreation Commission prohibits the use of alcoholic beverages in any area where their activities are being held, such as ball fields, soccer fields, and other sports fields.
