Payment Methods

Bills may be paid through the mail, automatic bank draft, online, or by cash, check, or credit card at the Utility Office at 1615 Tenth Street.

Paying online allows you to view account detail, transaction history and consumption history. First time registrants will need their account number, which can be found on your paper utility bill, and last payment amount.

The website administrator charges a Municipal Online Payment Fee of $1.25 per transaction. This payment cannot be waived as this is directly charged by the website provider and not the City. Municipal Online Payment Fees will appear as a separate charge on your statement.

HOW TO PAY ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS

First Time Registrants:

Go to https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/greatbendks

Login/Register

  • Register new account
  • An email will be sent to you to verify/activate your account

Once you have activated the account, login to the account on the website

Under the Utility Billing tab

  • Add Great Bend, KS to your services

Add an Account

Account Number can be found on the utility bill you receive in the mail

  • Please include all dashes; For example, 01ST-0101-01
  • This is also case sensitive

You will also need your last payment amount that you had made on this account

DOXO PAYMENTS

Payments can also be made through the following link: https://www.doxo.com/info/city-great-bend-ks

This is a third-party payment processor; therefore, the City does not receive payments the same day. Please be mindful when these payments are posted to our account. Plan accordingly to avoid late penalties. The city will not waive any late payment penalties.    

ACH enrollment & making a utility payment from your bank account is free via doxo! (Apple Pay/Credit/Debit accrue a fee of $3.99 or 3.5% whichever is higher):

Automatic Bill Payment Plan

If it is more convenient, monthly utility bills may be paid automatically through a checking account. When this option is chosen, the Utility Billing Office sends the amount due directly to the customer’s bank and it will be paid approximately two weeks before the due date.

The utility charges paid will appear on the customer’s bank statement. The customer will still receive their monthly water statement showing the amount drafted to the bank and the date of drafting. The method of payment will not affect bill payment deadlines. All payments are due the day they are printed and late after 28 days.

Requirements

The person requesting the service must provide a photo ID and proof of Social Security number. The business holder or their authorized signer of a commercial account must provide the Federal ID Number of the business activating service. 

If you are renting at your address, we will need you to bring along your lease agreement.
